This skirt was based on an illustration found in a 1935 Montgomery Ward's catalog. The Ginger skirt is very popular as it is resplendant with details. The lipstick red wool gabardine fabric gives both a tailored look to the skirt and provides good structure for the deep triple pleats which are top stitched for a trim line from waist to knee. The pleats, once no longer top stitched, serve as kick pleats. There is a 1" waistband that is secured at the waist with a 3/4" self covered button set above the side zipper. 100% wool, won’t once, basically brand new!
