Real framed Lamprima adolphinae beetle

This beautiful metallic green stag beetle is really a jewel. This Guy is featured in a 5″x7″ black shadow box frame and is mounted on a black linen background that is acid and lignin free. The genus, species and country of origin is scripted below the specimen. The Lamprima adolphinar is commonly called the jewel stag beetle and they are mostly found in the mountains of New Guinea. The Lamprima uses their mandibles to cut stems of plants and then suck on the liquid that comes out as part of their food source. These specimens were both farm raised and responsible sourced.
