kina17006 @librawaters Leather in Europe is processed without usage of lead and mercury plus they all have antibacterial innersoles inside. It is a standard in Europe in all the kids and adult shoes. So when you will wear them barefoot - no sweaty, smelly feet ever. Leather processed in China has lead and mercury in it since they do not want to paint leather 3 times using none toxic dyes. kina17006 Not just kids or adult shoes - all the leather from China has toxic substances in it....they skip the process of processing leather correctly to save money. When shoes are made out of well processed leather and have antibacterial innersoles in them they never smell.

kina17006 They are tiny (bearly visible) holes in the innersole of every shoe - this is antibacterial innersole - it does work well - no smelly feet ever in any genuine European shoes.

kina17006 Geox created a marketing campaign from the sole they put into the shoes "shoes that breathe" - really - show me any brand in Europe that does not breathe and smell? None... Genuine shoes that have breathable innersoles - believe it or not they all have it. Some brands like Ecco (standard brand in Europe - nothing major, Geox Taft - they bust up their marking campaign with obvious fact).

kina17006 I only wear shoes from Europe since feet never sweat and smell in them. Have few pairs for rotation good leather never sweats and all they have is brethable innersoles - standard n Europe now.

kina17006 @librawaters No one is rude here. We do not buy leather in China - it is illegal in Europe. We have laws on purchase of the leather in whole European Union. They are cheaper on their website since they are located in Poland and you pay customs and shipping so it comes to be the more then we list them. Feel free to buy them there. I can assure you the leather, soles, and whole manufacture happens in Europe. Any European brand when it is says it is made in Europe - it is made in Europe.

kina17006 No one is aggressive or rude here...how? I am just explaining the leather, soles, how those shoes are made......trust me we in Europe Greece, Germany, Sweden, Spain, France - we do not use leather from China on any of the shoes. Leather from China has traces of lead and mercury on it and that is why it is banned. When they arrive to the port they test them like in USA but to USA there is so many containers comming that it is impossible to test them all.

kina17006 In Europe when they open a container and they open them all, automatically they check for toxicity of the leather. They do not even ask why - just sent it back. It is not just on leather - food included. I been in imports for many years now so belive me sending anything to Europe is a pain, since they check for everything.

kina17006 @librawaters ISO certificate is issued to every brand in Europe, if they use leather from China they are banned on the international trade shoe show. I never saw any shoes from China there - not once. There is Orthopedic Ministry of Health there that checks kids shoes (I always saw that) and then they go to adult shoes and occasionally check for leather toxicity (they do leather tests on the spot I saw that many times). They are all made local put of local leathers.

kina17006 So if any questions - happy to answer but I do not get where you get from I am rude?....also no factory in Europe Greek, Italian, Swedish, German, Polish, Dutch, Swedish - uses leather from China to manufacture local shoes. There is a huge supply of leather factories in Europe - HUGE and they sell you any kind of leather you like that is correctly processed without usage of harmful chemicals. Prices are fair also, so no need for toxic leather.

kina17006 Fell free to order shoes from them - from Poland. Try them - your feet will not sweat in them since they have antibacterial soles and leather is not from China...they use leather from Serbia and Italy the most since they do fancy styles on those shoes. They are great shoes and durable. We sold them great in the store and those we list are literally last pairs of shoes left. The shoes we list were custom ordered for us since we sell lots of big sizes 11,12, 13 even - hard to find sizes.
