Red Kap + Bawidamann Workshirt

Red Kap + Andrew Bawidamann Flying Tigers short-sleeved workshirt in brown and size medium. Great condition, no holes or stains. Andrew makes a living from his artwork, and sells posters and T-shirts on his site. Andrew is known for his vintage-style military pin-up girl art, and they're unique as they're drawn using modern techniques and themes yet are instantly recognizable as an homage to a nostalgic style. He gets his inspiration from many sources; sometimes from requests from guys in the military. Some of his latest pinup girls have been done at the special request of soldiers, showing his dedication to the morale of our troops. This example honors the famous First American Volunteer Group (“Flying Tiger”), which protected the skies of China from the Japanese Empire during World War 2. The left chest bears the familiar flying tiger motif, that was created by Henry Porter, Roy Williams, and Walt Disney at the Walt Disney Company’s art department in Burbank, California. The back features an original silkscreened print by Andrew Bawidamann of a pin-up girl wearing a crusher cap and flight gear while seated on the propellor nose of a P40 Warhawk and blowing simulated gun smoke from her finger gun, with a smouldering Mitsubishi AM6 Zero crash diving, victory marks, and a blood chit in the background.
