Red Mini Dress Act 1960s Home-sewn

A beautiful and somewhat volup late 60s polyester mod mini dress. Home sewn from a pattern, fitted at the elasticized waist with a full A line shirt. The seams have a little room to make adjustments but no major upsizing is possible It's a generous size for its age, a fuller cut design and an elasticized waist that has relaxed. It is supposed to have a matching fabric belt, allowing the dress to blouse around a cinched waist, but it has been removed or lost at some point. I have included a photo with a thin belt to show the cinched-waist/A-line shirt profile, but the belt is not included with this dress. Mock neckline fastens in the back, long bracelet-length sleeves with an elasticized cuff. Would be cute with a wide cinched belt and matching boots. Made from a thicker single-knit polyester. Tomato red with a white abstract design (clouds or birds?). Condition: Missing belt, elastic that has lost some of its snap Measurements are lay flat unless otherwise stated. Waist: lay flat waist is 20” Pit to pit is 20” Shoulder seams in back measure 15” across Front neck to waist is 14” Waist to hem is 35” Hem is 31” across Neck is 8” in diameter Lay flat arm opening is 7 1/2” Sleeve length is 23 1/2” The woman who wore this dress would have had a beehive or teased her hair high with a flip at the bottom. It is in mint condition. No stains, no rips, no tears, not even a loose thread. Looks barely worn.
