@suesmith5000 I hope you loved the blanket! I always use a mild detergent and wash the blanket using warm water. I also spot treat any stains beforehand. I wash it on regular cycle and it always does well! but I decided to send you what the experts say (AKA) Google, lol.

@suesmith5000 Spot treat stains: For noticeable stains, you can hand wash the area with warm water and diluted detergent before washing the blanket in the machine.
Dry: After washing, you can tumble dry the blanket on low heat, or fluff it up in the dryer for a few minutes before hanging it or laying it flat to dry.
