Beckman, a German immigrant, got off the train at Red Wing at age 17 and found employment at a local leather factory. Working there, Beckman developed an interest in shoemaking. In 1905 he founded the Red Wing Shoe Company. This is the launch year 2007 Beckman, an amazing collector's piece for any Red Wing fans.
