Red Wing Vintage Turquoise covered casserole dish, apple and pear shapes

Vintage Red Wing Pottery Aqua Covered Pear Shaped and Apple Shaped Casserole. Condition Both are in excellent condition with no noted chips, cracks, repairs or crazing. They feature a turquoise glossy glaze. “RED WING USA” marked on bottoms. The soft aqua color adds to its wonderful vintage charm. These are thought to be designed by Belle Kogan as part of the Gypsy Trail dinnerware line sometime between the late 1930s to 1960s. Belle Kogan was a prolific designer for Red Wing, designing over 400 pieces for the company, and is regarded as one of the founders industrial design in the United States. Approximate measurements: The apple dish measures: 3" tall 5.5” long 4. 25” wide The pear dish measures: 3” tall 6” long 4” wide There are a couple of spots where the glaze is thinner, but this would have happened during the manufacturing process - this is to be expected and what makes each individual item unique. These can be used for serving food or as candy dishes. They can also be lovely on a shelf for keepsakes or storage for jewelry.
