Contoured through the ankle for support and the most faltering shape, they have a modernized topline with newly signature Frye button details at the pull tabs providing a tailored look. As leather naturally wears, there are typical scuffs and marks, the nature of most of which are shown in the photos. I loved these boots so much that they needed to be cobbled. This pair has been fully restored in the soles and heels. They feel sturdy and as they were when I first got them. There are some breaks in the stitching, which is why there is such a discount. I have not found them to be structural problem, on a small aesthetic detail. These boots are amazing and will last you a lifetime. Literally. (My dad still wears his original Frye’s from the 70’s)
