Repurposed Earrings Nature Themed Handmade Upcycled Earring

Did you know that these lightweight earrings were once something else? Look closely. Still unsure, these earrings were made with a new charm but the background, that was a placemat. Every once in awhile I look at something and think, this could totally be worn and channel my inner “Maria” aka Julie Andrews and turn the unexpected into jewelry. The story: when deciding where to “cut” the design on this placemat these colors reminded me of the sun setting over water and land. There was a horizon that with the pendant to represent the sun, just made sense! All pieces have a story. Please see photos for measurements.
