The jeans close with four buttons, no zipper. The foldover creates the illusion of there being a top button closure, but there is no button on the foldover itself, and only the four buttons below that illusion keep the jeans securely closed. Those buttons are hidden behind the fly area that is shown up close in the second photograph.
