sandra_minette Hi, yes it was altered. It was hemmed and the seam at the shoulder (under the bow) was taken in to pull the dress up a little. I'm 5''6" with heels. Also added a bra strap loop under the bow . The alterations were done by a professional wedding dress tailor. The fabric has just a little stretch so it feels a little structured but still very comfortable. It really is a beautiful dress - gots lots of compliments at my daughter's wedding.
