It is coated with a grainy type, maybe a silk substance, which gives it vibrant colors. I can see if you touch it too many times it will transfer dirt / color will change. Orchid: It measures 1.45" long x 1.2" wide x 0.5" deep Chain: 40" long, Gold Vermeil, measuring 1.48 mm thick This set comes in its original padded jewelry box.
