moodtherapy @matsmurf and what cartilage piercing are you looking to put this in? I can probably give you a better idea of what gauge you got it pierced with if I know what part of your cartilage is pierced. 20 gauge is the same as a normal earring post, 18 is slightly thicker but will still fit in a regular, unstretched hole, 16 is thick- stretched out hole.

moodtherapy @matsmurf most often you’ll get pierced with either 18 or 20 gauge. All my cartilage piercings were pierced with 18 gauge but my holes have shrunk down so I can on.y wear 20 gauge in them now.

moodtherapy @matsmurf yes, that’s exactly why they shrank! I was having trouble getting them to heal fully and one ear starting giving me a lot of headaches so I took them all out bc I couldn’t even hold my phone up to that ear bc it hurt so bad. Well I left them out for a long time, they didn’t close but I can only wear 20 gauge or thinner now.

star8083 I need a standard one and then one that's a bit bigger for the hole behind it and I believe I need 20 gauge if that's the smallest size...my holes are on the left side of my nose one right in front of the other

shandir Hey there! I'm really sorry for silly question😊. I saw in a previous comment that this is good filled. What does that mean? Sorry I have to have some sort of gold in my piercings or I have an allergic reaction. Even just gold plated jewelry seems to be ok.

moodtherapy @luladesign the daith is generally pierced with either 18 or 16 gauge. 20gauge is the thickness of a normal earring, 18g is slightly thicker than standard but will generally still fit in a normal unstretched hole wout stretching it. 16g is the thick one. Is for larger or stretched holes. To be safe u can go w either 20 or 18g
