Iconic Rosenthal meets the legend of Finnish design Timo Sarpaneva in these MCM cups. Pristine condition. A set of two cups with two saucers. Designed for Rosenthal in 1974 by the renowned Finnish designer Timo Sarpaneva, the Suomi dinnerware collection won the Gold Medal of the President of Italy in Faenza, the highest award in the world of porcelain and ceramics. Made of finest porcelain, these cups are lightweight and slightly see-through when exposed to bright light. But they’re also durable and can be used in microwave and in gentle dishwashing cycle. Design work took Sarpaneva five years to complete and resulted in a truly timeless design.
