Roslyn Garland Creamer & Sugar Vintage Bone China 1940s England

Beautiful vintage set, nice and bright white, very little age or wear showing. No chips, cracks, crazing, or repairs noted. The creamer has a couple small shadow spots under the glaze - pic #8. Back stamp dates the production to sometime in the 1940s, possibly a little earlier. These are pretty standard size, the sugar measures 2" x 3.25" and the creamer is about 3.25" tall. Notes from the potteries website: 1941-1950 The early style of mark was used from 1937 by Reid & Co and was continued by Roslyn China - it is not generally possible to tell which of the two companies manufacturered any particular item, as all marks include the Roslyn name. In 1946 the previous company of Reid & Co was incorporated as a limited company and the business name was changed to Roslyn China. Roslyn China was part of the Thomas C Wild group pf companies. The Roslyn China business was closed in July 1963.
