Gorgeous vintage black cashmere coat in excellent condition with real brown mink fur collar that is stitched onto cashmere collar. Ties at the neck and bracelet length sleeves. Slash pockets in the front lined in black silk. There is no size tag but fits like a size S/M. I’m a size 6 and it fits me perfectly. Missing top button but buttons could be easily swapped out, or with tie at the neck, missing button isn’t noticeable. Looks good untied as well. Coat was purchased from an antique store and I only wore it once 4 years ago, as seen in the last photo. It has since been dry cleaned (they lost the button while it was being cleaned). What’s old is new again, as the cocoon silhouette of this coat is really on trend in 2025, proving that a classic is always in style! Comes from a smoke-and-pet-free home. Measurements: Sleeve-25.” (Bracelet length) Shoulder-17” Armpit/Bust-21” Length-36.5”

denimgal100 Hi, is there a material tag?

dosschwartz @denimgal100 no there isn’t but it’s cashmere with a mink collar. I purchased it from an antique store. It’s been professionally cleaned too. They confirmed the fabrication.

denimgal100 @dosschwartz that’s awesome! My shoulders are 18” across so I’m a little worried it would be too tight with it being 17”. Would you say there is any room for stretch or is it pretty tight fitting on the shoulders?

dosschwartz @denimgal100 I’m not at home right now. When I get back, I’ll try it on to see how much shoulder room there is and let you know👍🏼

dosschwartz @denimgal100 Hello! Sorry I’m just now responding. We were at an NCAA women’s volleyball tournament last night & got home really late. I tried the coat back on this AM to confirm shoulder fit. My shoulders are 17” across and the coat fits perfectly, only because it’s a drop-shoulder style. Some give but not much. Sadly, I think 18” shoulder width will make the coat tight on your shoulders and bring the bracelet-length sleeve up too much, making the sleeves too short.

sunhastore Can I see a photo of the coat with the collar off?

dosschwartz @sunhastore hello! I thought the mink collar was removable. However, when I went to “unbutton” it, I realized it’s stitched onto the collar in three spots—L-front, R-front and back. You would need to snip the thread holding down the mink collar, if you didn’t want to wear it. I added a photo showing how it’s stitched to the collar.

dosschwartz @sunhastore I also added a photo of me wearing the coat. It’s the last photo.

sunhastore @dosschwartz is the bow removable?
Jan 05Reply
dosschwartz
dosschwartz @sunhastore no the tie is not removable. You can see how it looks on in the last photo. The ties aren’t really noticeable.

sunhastore @dosschwartz How tall are you? I'm about 5'2 so just want to see where it might land based on your last photo. Thank you for answering all my questions!
Jan 05Reply
dosschwartz
dosschwartz @sunhastore of course! I’m 5’7” Tall with a very long torso and shorter legs. The coat hits me about 4” above the knee. Depending on how long your torso and legs are, at 5’2” inches, the coat should hit you right at the knee. For reference, I included the length of the coat, measured from the back, from the top of the collar to hem.
