First introduced in 1941 by Gladding, McBean & Company and created by designer Annette Honeywell of Los Angeles, Desert Rose was designed to give it a West Coast feel with its hand-painted clusters of vibrant pink flowers, olive green stems on a cream background, and graceful brown branches as trim for each piece.
This pattern has become a classic and many lovers of fine porcelain dinnerware are still drawn to its unique design and vintage charm.
This footed oatmeal bowl is so rare that a renowned china website sells it for $50! Perfect as a serving bowl, a vessel for a floral arrangement or a succulent planter (I know, I get carried away with creativity when I come across such a pretty piece as this one).
In perfect pre-loved condition, and that means no nicks, chips, cracks, crazing, or discoloration. This piece is discontinued.
Crafted in the USA of finest earthenware, it measures 5 ½” in width and 2 ¼” in height. Please handwash to preserve its beauty.
Please note that photography lighting sometimes affects colors and hues. I strive to be as descriptive of the item as possible. I will happily answer any questions that you may have before making your decision to purchase.
I pack with care and usually ship within three days. Offers are always welcome but please, be courteous, low-ball offers will be ignored.
NOTE: Please check my Closet for other pieces in this collection.
