Rozae Nichols Vintage 2 Layer Womens Top Delicate Lace Over Jersey Tie Die Y2K

Layered fitted top from Los Angeles-based designer Rozae Nichols from late 1990s. Top layer is a delicate lace (cotton nylon blend) in steel blue (hard to see color in photo) with a bit of delicate sequin work. The back of top layer is about 2 1/2" longer than front. The under layer is a subtle pale blue tie dye. The back of under layer has a seam down the back as a design element. Both layers have stretch and are marked size Medium. Nichols was known for her lovely feminine designs featuring layered silks, jersey and delicate textured fabrics. Her tailoring is impeccable, using bias cut techniques but draping the body in a thoroughly modern way.
