SALE Vintage 1940 Style Tilt Hat in Black White Striped New York Creations

SALE Amazing early mid-century tilt hat. In a modified stovepipe design, it was created within the umbrella of New York Creations, a venture of the ILGWU union and "thirty of the highest quality manufacturers" (per VFG). The weave is a millinery straw in very thin bands creating a stripe running horizontally. The 3 1/2" tall body has a welled crown. A 1 1/2" black grosgrain band forms a bow at the front, anchored with a clear rhinestone, cross shape decoration. The brim is a short 1 1/2". There is an elastic chin or chignon strap. We are showing his both tilted, a favorite pose for '40s hats and faced forward.
