Pearl choker- This beautiful faux pearls necklace is vintage, if not antique. I bought it in an antiques store in San Francisco in the mid ‘90s and I was told it is from the 1950s. The pearls have a cream tone to them, they are quite heavy but I can tell they are not natural pearls. If I were to guess, they are the imitation pearls made out of glass that Murano artists invented in the 1940s. They are not knotted. The clasp is a little jewel on its own, with sparkles, and could be worn on the side ( see pics ). No maker marks, no visible metal indication, but I don’t think the clasp is silver. They are in great condition. I wore them on my wedding day as ‘something old’ and, they brought me plenty of luck. I never wore them again and I am ready to pass them on! Statement choker necklace
