A unique, GORGEOUS SET OF SIX VICTORIAN ANTIQUE SILVERPLATED "GRAVY FORKS" by the famous English silversmiths ELKINGTON. Rarely seen in the U.S., the forks are marked with a Victorian Kite registration mark dating them to January 12th, 1867.
Each measures approximately 8 inches long, made from excellent quality silverplate. The forks’ prongs are filled in for two-thirds of their length, thus forming a small spoon at the back of the fork, allowing the user to eat gravy and sauces without the need for a separate utensil. Also known as "sauce forks" or "pea forks." The forks are monogrammed with the initials “AW.” These unusual forks would make a great addition to any dining ensemble. Please see the photos for condition and style. Will arrive inside a blue Hagerty Silversmith's Cloth Envelope.
