ohhappyday4 Hi! I love the great detail in all of your listing of your beautiful items. So this would be considered a suede finish as apposed to a smooth leather, on the outside? Just out of curiosity, is the beaver fur soft as maybe a mink or more stiff. I always wanted a beaver coat too because they seem to be indestructible. That is that the fur is so dense. Thank you.

321genesis @ohhappyday4 Thanks for the positive feedback! Yes, this would be a suede finish.

321genesis @ohhappyday4 Sheared beaver fur to me is thicker and softer than sheared mink. For full length beaver, it may or may not be plucked (where they remove the guard hairs). Even if plucked, I would say it is still soft but there is a roughish element in there too. Sometimes the softness can be based on the quality of skins used, the craftsmanship, and how well the coat has been conditioned and taken care of over time.

321genesis @ohhappyday4 Yes, beaver is very durable. Mink is pretty durable too, but beaver probably more so. The thicker, longer beaver fur can more easily mask slight damage to it if it should occur. But mink isn't that bad either. If you see a coat you like, I can weigh in on softness, durability, quality, etc. Those things can be somewhat subjective too.

rhp544 I love the feel of shearling but I assume the exterior feels and looks and behaves like suede.
