Question about vs pink sherpa blanket. I have one & I've washed it a few times. I know they are so much softer when you first get it. But I have read on here that you can use a cat hair brush and brush the blanket out with it to make it real soft again. How do you brush it out? Like a step by step on how to do it & does it have to be a certain type of brush cause I do have a cat brush. I know it takes a few days to do it but that's all I remember when I seen how to do it on here before. Thanks!!

You just take the cat brush and brush it out like you would brush anything! It does take super long because they are so big but after you’re done it’s a huge difference

And any type of cat brush should do

Use baby shampoo 😉 it'll bring back the shape of shrunken clothes from dryer that was Dried by mistake too...you rewash in the shampoo and stretch out then hang dry

@betrp922 so you wash them in a pillow case and it doesn’t loose it’s soft original feel? I have 3 that are older and still soft but the fur is balled I just recently got 3 new ones and don’t want them to turn out the same way. Can they then be dried in the dryer in the pillowcase and still have that soft feel or hang dry??

The dryer ruins the blanket. Don’t put in dryer.

what I do is take frabic softener and water inside a spray bottle shake up really well spray a small area than brush with a wire brush (animal brush). The bristles are wire and the kinds curve at the ends. be careful thought because they can penetrate the skin when cleaning out the fibers. I've stabbed myself a few times.

also the best way to avoid the sherpa getting balled up is to not put them in the dryer. the dryer is to hot for that material which causes it to rub/melt together. that's just my opinion. I would deff air dry.
