Every tile is skillfully handmade in small batches by a team of artisans, therefore no two tiles are exactly the same. The back consists of wood (with a hole for hanging), the sentiment for that tile number, and a stamped logo. Each year, Sid Dickens introduces collections inspired by his experiences, travels, and the world around him; while also retiring numerous tiles. For over 25 years, Sid Dickens has been creating his own moulds which are used to pour plaster. Once the plaster is dry, a team of skilled artisans use techniques such as glazing, gliding and staining, methodically applied in layers, to decorate the tile. You will notice that no two tiles are exactly the same because of this.
