SILK! STYLE DESIGN size S black possibly vintage SS sheath dress beads & sequins

WHO DOESN’T LOVE THE FEEL OF SILK ON THE SKIN, SO COOL AND LUXURIOUS? AND WHEN IT’S THIS AFFORDABLE, WHY WEAR ANYTHING ELSE? THIS BEAUTIFUL BLACK 100% SILK SHORT-SLEEVE SHEATH DRESS WITH BLACK BEADS AND GOLD SEQUINS BY STYLE DESIGN, SIZE S, is pre-owned and possibly vintage. The lady running the estate sale where I acquired it told me she had had it since the late or possibly mid 1970's but hadn't worn it in years because of weight gain. I have only her word for this and no way to verify. But it does have the look of a well-kept older garment. The labels especially appear to have some years on them (pictures #10 & 11). I can verify that I have examined the dress carefully and found no defects or damage and little sign of wear. It has padded shoulders, a clasp-and-zipper closure in back, an 8" slit (more of a notch actually) bottom rear center. shiny gold sequins creating a floral pattern in the upper front (picture #9), black beading in undulating lines all over, and is fully lined in black silk. As it's 100% silk, dry clean only is recommended. The stated size is S, but prospective buyers are encouraged to compare the measurements with those of a dress that they know fits well prior to purchase. Measurements are: chest, pit to pit 21"; waist 18.5"; hips 21"; hemline 23.25"; shoulder 17.25"; sleeve 11"; length (in back, neckline to hem) 38.5".
