Simon Sebbag’s process to create the jewelry is intended to keep them light. The process they use is called electroforming. Simply, it involves a wax mold being submerged into a bath of sterling silver. The mold is removed after a few layers of silver develop. The cast is removed and the jewelry is then hand polished and ready for wear. As with all sterling silver, exposure to air, water, perfumes and lotions can expedite the natural oxidation process. Wiping your sterling silver jewelry after use with a silver polishing cloth and storing in an airtight container, or jewelry bag, will lessen the oxidation, tarnish buildup on your jewelry.
