SNUGGLE HUGS SALT AND PEPPER SHAKER BEARS-VAN TELLINGEN

Vintage SALT & PEPPER SHAKERS SNUGGLE-HUGS or HUGGIES by RUTH VAN TELLINGEN - Bear Hug. This pair of salt & pepper shakers are hugging each other! Line is called Snuggle-Hugs and this set is called " Bear Hug ". They were created by Ruth Van Tellingen who was an illustrator of children's books from the 1940s to 1950s. THEY MEASURE 3.25 INCHES tall and are shaded brown and black with closed eyes and outstretched arms. BOTH ARE MARKED ON THE RUMP "VAN TELLINGEN BEAR. ALSO BOTH ARE MARKED ON THE BASE "PAT PEND" WHICH INDICATES THEY ARE AN EARLY SET. ONE BEAR HAS 3 HOLES IN THE BACK OF HIS HEAD AND THE OTHER HAS 4 HOLES. ONE CORK IS INSIDE THE BEAR, THE OTHER IS IN PLACE. There are no chips or cracks.
