I have 3 lol this one is my least fav. It's a bit tarnished inside but I mean for its age u can't complain! My great grandmother left me TONS of gorgeous vintage gems!!! Perfume necklaces poison rings, some super gawdy but pretty and pretty cool stuff!

nmwisotzkey @dakotablu I have much on let antique jewelry!!!! And my list is wrong, it is 925 marked but from age it's hard to see. The clasp is also very old so it doesn't always stay on but that is very simply repaired by a jeweler just needs tightening. As for work in outside of posh, u have to forgive me for being weary of it...... I left vinted becuz I was ripped off of 300$ in handbags. Stupidly I sent without knowing if she sent and I suffered the consequence.

nmwisotzkey @tpisani hello! :) poison rings and amulets originated I believe somewhere around the early 15 hundreds. They were actually used as a way for woman to wear their favorite perfumes. Small scented discs made with oils from flowers were made to fit them, lockets, amulets, rings, ect. Back then they didn't have the "cleanliness" that we did lol and woman then as we do now, always wanted to have a pretty smell. The most popular was worn by a Spaniard princess, and it was orange blossom. Her signature scent. This particular ring isn't as old. Its early 1930s. But I'm straying from the story. The first use of it for poisoning came later around the 17 hundreds when a woman whom married rich used hers to poison her husband's wine with mustar seed to gain his fortune and b free to b with her lover. She was found guilty due to a servant basically telling on her for a reward. Back then men and woman of royalty or high society always had 'Testers' a person to take the first drink and bite of whatever their master was given to ensure they were not ingesting something poisonous. Ppl were extremely paranoid then about what they had and others trying to take it. So this clever lady took use of her jewelry to kill. So something beautiful was then turned to something awful.

I'm not sure who got it or if the servant even gotten a reward or any of the details but from the trial forth the perfume rings were then coined as poison rings and later if u were noticed to have one you risked being called a witch or sorcerer even a traitor. I have 3 other's, they were my grandmother's. I also have 3 "lockets" and one necklace that's round and caged looking which was the most popular since anyone could see thru it see your perfume disc. They r very rare. Yes there are lots of replicas and are still popular today. Woman used them from about the 40's- 80 's to hide there drugs while they worked the desk jobs. My Nan used to always say....why do u think those woman could type so fast lol!!!!

By the hopefully never chance I need to sell. And that would only be for my son's medical needs. My Nan left me well over 300k worth of antique jewelry, and it was all passed down thru quite a few generations. I don't have a girl to pass them on to, but it will still go to my son when I pass.

And I can probably say that both pieces of u r interest will still b available when you are ready. But I can not hold, I literally just got burned twice this past week of close to 200$ for saving things by be different ppl. I'm sorry. Now FYI this particular ring has been altered. The clasp was VERY old and my grandmother went to have to fixed and they replaced the clasp instead of repairing. That does kill the value a bit. Other then that it's all original.

nmwisotzkey @tpisani , it's been one hell of a road the past 5 yrs when he was diagnosed, and u r right, I make peanuts working. We do have health insurance since the Obama care but it barely covers 59%....... he will b 10 tomorrow and I'm just so grateful to have another birthday w him. As for moving, I do have family that helps w what they r able, if I move it would b so difficult because I do have to think if my parents that try their best to spend what they can w him incase any time he could pass.......sometimes I just break down. But I do my best to keep it together I really have to stay strong for him. I SO MUCH appreciate u r kindness, and I am very sorry to hear of your situation, but glad to hear your kind words!!!!!!
