SOLD Lee Jordan Vintage Tan Empire Waist Gown w Gold Beads, Cutaway Shoulders

From the front the neckline looks almost like a halter top, but it is really cutaway shoulders, that turns into a high back which zips up. The color is warm brownish tan trending towards, but not quite reaching gold. There is an empire waist with a built in faux gold beaded "belt". The design does not extend around to the waist in the back. The skirt is gathered/ pleated under the waist line and flows from there to the ground. Based on the designer, the style, and the the union label this dress dates to the mid to late 70s. It is in excellent vintage condition for it's age. There is the tiniest faintest light mark on the left side of the bust as shown (barely!) in the penultimate picture. I actually think this is not set in, but I am not going to wash it/it is labeled dry clean only. The only other issue is that one of the three hooks that secures the neck is loose. This is a one stitch fix. This dress is perfect for the holidays/ a gala/ the opera/ the ballet/ a black tie affair/ a cocktail party, etc. It is vintage but not dated. Highly fashionable, stylish, and flattering on most figures. Measurements when laid flat: Bust: 17 1/2" Waist: 16" Length: 58" Lee Jordan is a storied designer.
