A true collector's item! Black quilted velour/velvet exterior w/ a black leather + satin interior. In pretty good condition (no exterior rips) except for a couple of small, brown spots on the bag's underside, chain needs polish, and a small rip in lining of inside zippered pocket (can be easily sewn). 9.75"L, 7"H, 1.75"D. I inherited this from my grandmother (a very classy lady), who said its from the 60s or 70s. SEE MY CLOSET FOR ANOTHER LISTING W/ MORE PICS OF THE BAG!

mccoa586 @blackbarbiee90 Unfortunately, Chanel didn't start imprinting labels inside or adding serial numbers until the 80's (feel free to look into this) and this back is from the early 70's, so there's no way of getting proof if it's authenticity to you. You really only have my word, which is why the price is so low.

blackbarbiee90 Also I work at Saks and I remember the Chanel boutique manager told me that bags this size will always have a back pocket regardless of the year it was made. And I dost see a back pocket in the pictures you posted. :(

mccoa586 @blackbarbiee90 Hate to break it to you but the back pocket is also a trait that was implemented on every Chanel bag in the 80s once Karl took over. Before that, only certain styles had the back pocket. :)

mccoa586 @blackbarbiee90 Aside from the research I've done, my grandmother was extremely wealthy and, when she died last year, left me this bag and a green croc Hermes Kelly bag (which I love to death). I don't think she even knew what a fake bag was or that they existed lol. I'm selling it for so cheap because its from an era of 2.55 bags that don't have authenticity markings and I realize that it would be hard to prove.

I completely believe you, I'm just wondered because after all the research I've done as well (and I used to be a buyer at a consignment shop) the bag should say Chanel somewhere on the inside and the backside of the turnlock should say Chanel Paris. I would love to own this bag if it was real I'm just afraid to trade something I paid 2000+ for and then somehow find out its fake :( maybe more pictures would help idk. Also what color is it? Black with silver hardware or gold (I can't really tell) and what size is it. Hopefully we can try to work something out cause you seen super cool

mccoa586 @blackbarbiee90 Feel free to look into the Chanel imprint & pocket thing because I read several articles that said that only after 1983 (when Karl took over) did they start adding the pocket, the Chanel label inside and a serial #. The bag is black with gold hardware (needs polish) and is 9.75"L, 7"H, 1.75"D. I can also trade you for the bag and something else in my closet so it'll feel more worth it to you. I have a pair of Tory Burch black lace up booties in a sz. 9 and a genuine YSL charm bracelet from the late 80's. If you're interested, I can add them to my closet xx

blackbarbiee90 I'm doing more research now! I've read several articles that said they came with a back pocket cause that was one of Coco's hiding spots lol but I don't even think this style is a 2.55 cause the flap looks way different (your bag has more of an envelope flap then a flap that curves into the area that says CC). I would love to see the ysl bracelet regardless though! :)

blackbarbiee90 That bracelet is really pretty but I know I would never wear it lol :( also after doing more research it seems like leather intertwined in the straps was introduced in the 80s when Lagerfeld came around and this bag has leather in the strap and yet it's from 60-70s. I think I'm gonna just have to pass on this as much as I want it to work out, just cause I can't guarantee anything and there's no markings that definitely give me a clue that its real :( thanks so much for all your patience and help and I'm sure you will sell this soon!

blackbarbiee90 Totally thought it was leather straps sorry lol and http://authenticationfiles.com/how-to-spot-a-fake-chanel-handbag.html shows that the interlocking pattern is wrong on both the front CC logo and the interior one :(
