vintagebaubles @gryer hi, thanks for all your help and shares! My great Aunt did have 2 squash blossom necklaces which are over at my sisters. We’ve been talking about having them cleaned and selling at least one of them so I’ll let you know when I talk with her- we’re still sorting through the jewelry and trying to decipher and match up notes with the pieces. She kept a little book where she recorded information about the artists, tribal membership..

vintagebaubles @gryer I’m so glad you asked! Some of her writing was less legible and when we can’t figure out the scribbles 😊 we’ve been trying to figure out the age she acquired by matching up with photos! I’ll tag you after I talk with my sister!

gryer @vintagebaubles If you decide to list, please share pics with me before cleaning. I love seeing things with age, means they have some history behind them. And thanks again!

vintagebaubles @gryer yes I agree! I’ve left a number of pieces uncleaned as I love the beauty of age and the patina. I wish everyone agreed😞 I finally cleaned a bracelet I had listed elsewhere and it sold immediately .. but frankly it had far more character and beauty before I cleaned it. I was in Arizona a year ago to attend a service and went to a galleries and Heard - most of the recent pieces looked so uniform and the silver didn’t have the character depth😞 of the older works. Forgive my soliloquy! ❤️

vintagebaubles @gryer have a great night and I’ll definitely show you the pieces before anything is done to them!

gryer @vintagebaubles Absolutely! I also prefer laugh lines and wrinkles over having any work done. I feel like I’ve earned every line through life experiences, and I feel the same with jewelry. Have a wonderful week and Happy Holidays 🎄❄️
