RARE Vintage Hermes Silk Scarf Authentic Signed J. Abadie, Ciels Byzantins. Ciels Byzantins HERMES silk scarf was designed by Julia Abadie and issued in 1997. The pattern is titled “Ciels Byzantins” which translates to "Byzantine Skies”. Inspired by the decorations that adorn the Byzantine Skyline, the pattern has gorgeous architectural and geometrical motifs, with floral accents. The Center Design depicts a Classic Roman Arch, with Two Peacocks at the entrance. This symbolizes Royalty and Immortality. The spectacular colors are yellow, orange, navy, and classic green on a vivid blue background. I bought this scarf at Hermes in Paris on George V and I am the only owner. The fabric is in Excellent Condition and the Hand Rolled Hem is in Excellent Condition. There are spots from wear-please see pics. All of the attached pics are unaltered except for cropping-the colors are as close to as is as you can get from my camera. RARE Colorway-I have yet to locate another Vintage Hermes scarf in this palette. 42cm x 42cm (which can vary as it is hand-rolled) Can be worn as a neckerchief, hair tie, handbag accent, belt loop accent, or on the wrist. I have worn it in all of these ways, hence the spots.
