STAR-ART Demi-Parure Amethyst Rhinestone Crystal Brooch | Screw Back Earrings

Marvelous Shining Gold Filled Brooch doubling as a Pendant which has the appearance of an Angel. Matching screw back earrings all with pear shaped Amethyst colored Rhinestones and round Clear Crystals. Both pieces Signed and Stamped 1/20th 12K GF. There is some oxidation and patina on the brooch back, which is to be expected due to it's vintage age. The overall condition is very nice. A lovely feminine Demi Parure Set. Measuring Approx. 1.5"H x 1.25" at the widest point. **History** Star-Art was a New York based jewelry company existed for about 40 years – from the 1940s to the 1980s. As a rule, Star-Art craftsmen used sterling silver and gold filled. Important elements included filigree details, motifs of floral and leaf patterns bows and hearts, in creations of AB crystals, multi-color rhinestones, or art glass imitating natural gems. During the 1950s Star-Art launched one of their most popular series “Jewels by Helene”. These pieces were always sold in original boxes, and stamped “Star Art” and “Sterling Silver” on the back with a foiled tag “Jewels by Helene”. Making Star-Art pieces rare and desirable for today's vintage jewelry collectors.
