It’s so unfair that so many sellers are listing FAKE CZ as Moissanite!! It’s unfair to people being duped into buying it and it’s unfair to sellers like me selling authentic tested genuine Moissanite! It makes it impossible to sift through all the fakes for shoppers and harder for legitimate sellers like me to get their listings seen. PLEASE REPORT FAKE SELLERS to Poshmark so they hopefully do something! If you’re one of these sellers please DO THE RIGHT THING AND LIST AS CZ!!

tyz @gallerychaos Agreed!!! I love Moissanite and have several pieces now. Thankfully I can spot red flags more easily and ask lots of questions. It’s terrible to think anyone would knowingly try to sell items with deceiving words to profit off others. PLUS...it junks up our searches and news feed! 😒

gallerychaos @tyz It’s actually made it unpleasant to shop because you have to sift through 100s of cheap knockoff listings! I’ve written to Posh so many times and reported the 2 main offenders. They usually take them off and then within hours there’s like 50 more fake listings up! If you get a chance consider writing to Posh support. Maybe if enough people complain they’ll stay on top of it. Happy Poshing. 😊

gallerychaos @jessicasharm123 Right?! I love Posh but other sites stay more on top of these scammers. I think they should suspend their account for a few days as punishment otherwise they’ll keep doing it. Maybe add a week if they do it more than once. Anyway, happy shopping!😄

gallerychaos @jamiegarner537 If they are being dishonest it’s hard to tell from pictures. I’d ask them if it tests positive on a thermal tester. Some sellers will lie though. Ive seen some listings that are legit put up a pic of them actually testing the stones. Ive kind of given up buying Moissanite on this site. 3x I had to return them and Poshmark will back you up but it’s a long process and you have to submit pictures

janieonline @gallerychaos i didn't even think of this. Is there an easy way to see the difference between Cz and moissanite? All jewelery should be required to be sold w appraisal. Thank you for bringing this to my attention!!!

gallerychaos @janieonline You are so right! They should mark the inside of the band or something. When you buy from a place like JTV it comes with a certificate of authenticity card but on a resale site people can be dishonest. Glad to help. I’ve been burned before and hate to see anyone else get taken advantage of! 😊

gallerychaos @janieonline The thermal diamond/moissanite tester is the only real way although I can tell in person pretty well. Also Moissanite really throws off a lot of rainbow flashes. CZ has more white flashes and isn’t as clear.

janieonline ty for the info (and the share. ) when i bought that ring it was before the big moissanite "rush". i didn't even have that idea about the cz vs moissanite in my head until I read your post. one of the reasons I love this community is that for evey person trying to "get over on us" there are 2 great people trying to help snd who care. ty for being a great person and for sharing my ring! if you see anything in my closet i will discount for you. just ref this comversation so I know it's "you.!"
