Additional Info: This is an attractive studio art pottery vase, hand crafted and glazed The glaze is purple with red violet in a grainy look (but smooth texture) that appears smoother & less purple as it's turned It's hard to do the colors justice in the photos The neck has brown and black drip glaze banding and it is black inside Condition: Excellent pre-owned condition--see details above Material: Glazed clay pottery Size: Small Approximate Measurements please see photos. This is a great little vase for display or flower arranging. It will hold a small bouquet of bullbs, flowers, grasses or whatever. It would make a great gift for hostess, teacher or coworker! Fill it with flowers and leave it to be discovered on the fly! It was thrown on the pottery wheel and glazed with many layers of rich shiny purple and maroon glazes that melted together and ran to create a stunning effect. It is high fired for durability and vitreosity. However I recommend using a coaster when filled with water in case the body sweats.
