STUNNING "Chinese Satsuma" Fish Bowl Porcelain Pot 5"

This incredible vintage fish bowl is a Chinese porcelain that was painted in the Japanese Satsuma style ("Satsuma-inspired"). It features two identical village scenes with people in a house and walking a horse, and a lake with boats in the background. the detailed scene is applied imagery (decal, or transfer images), with hand-painted highlights and raised enamel details on top of the applied imagery. Outside of the scene windows the main body of the pot is glazed with a gold-yellow glaze that is covered with raised enamel dots that give it an exquisite look and texture. the upper shoulder just below the rim is encircled with a floral ornamentation against a red background that is cross hatched with gold-colored raised enamel. The top rim is white with 5 applied flowers. This pot can be used to hold small goldfish or a beta. It can also be used as a flower pot, but care would be needed to not saturate the soil, as there is no drainage hole. It would also serve well as a storage jar or as a display piece. 5" tall by 6.5" wide Excellent condition: No cracks or chips
