STYLISH LATE 1960s' BROWN VELOUR FELT FEDORA WITH OSTRICH FEATHERS

This beautiful chocolate brown velour felt fedora has a tall crown that is indented at the top. The brim is medium size. Around the crown there is a band made of 3 thin velour strips ending in a bow at one side. From that bow, there is a beautiful explosion of brown ostrich feathers and a metal ring, as shown in the photos. Label: SIMPSON'S. Inside the hat there is an imprint stating IMPORTED VELOUR, The Robert Simpson Company Limited, commonly known as Simpson's until 1972, then as Simpsons, and in Quebec sometimes as Simpson, was a Canadian department store chain that had its earliest roots in a store opened in 1858 by Robert Simpson.
