Not tall; 5’1….. I don’t want to ruin this beautiful dress; I wouldn’t look good in a strapless due to my spine deformation….. a blousey top looks best on me

@kathleenhamlin Very understandable. To flatter your body type, you could honestly wear the dress as is, then add a blousey top and pair it with a thick belt to give the illusion of a maxi skirt. If the top of the dress shows (ex: if the blouse has a v neck) that would look gorgeous too! Or, you could use a different approach and roll the dress down until it is fitted to your liking, the cover the rolled fabric using a blouse or a thick belt :)

@kathleenhamlin Additionally, one of my favorite elements of this dress is how flat the sequins lay. If you were to add a blouse directly over the dress, you wouldn’t have to worry about the sequins pulling on the fabric!

@cocoxixou excellent idea! I was thinking of wearing a blouse tucked in ; I could just shimmy the top part down and then play with the hem? Let me think about it for a bit. I could wear it with a jacket too as well…. I have a double breasted sequin jacket from years ago that might work. I just thought it would be fun at my family holiday gathering; my sister keeps telling me sequins are “in” now; didn’t realize they were ever out…..thought I would show up all glitzed up😉

@kathleenhamlin hahaha! I love it. I agree that sequins will be an infinite trend. The more the merrier! I love the jacket idea. I do think you could tuck the blouse with a little finesse of the hem. If it looks bulky, a good belt would do the trick. I also adore the colors on this dress! It can be worn during any season if paired with the right accessories. Take as much time as you need. Either way, you’re going to be the star of the show (literally) at your family gathering!
