What makes these different is that these are styled to fit as a trouser would fit—they have darts for a very tailored, finished look as opposed to many shorts even by the same designer which are elastic top and a little baggie. These are sleek and chic and classic Lilly Pulitzer pattern which you cannot mistake. Zip up back with added button; all measurements including inseam (approx 6”) are in the photographs; 000 size probably equals extra small as that is how they fit on me; 100% cotton; no flaws. A slight flare in the leg makes for a SLIGHT resemblance to culottes, but they definitely are and look like shorts. Upbeat, fun, super feminine and delicate. I really think you will love these! I doubt you would garden or work in these; they are a little dressier so you can wear them with or without heels, daytime or evening.
