SUPER RARE Faberge Sterling Silver Griffin Gryphon Siberian Jade Clock # 02 / 62

For sale, a SUPER RARE and highly collectible piece by Faberge. This clock is a Faberge authorized authentic reproduction of the original piece that was created in 1907. This oval based clock is made with hand carved Siberian Jade and is covered in Sterling Silver. The Gryphon (European name) / Griffon (American name) is also made out of Sterling Silver. All silver pieces on this clock was Acid tested and is confirmed to be Sterling Silver / .925 / 92.5% pure silver. The Gryphon measures approximately 5.5 inches / 136 mm high, 4.7 inches / 120 mm wide and 2.1 inches / 55 mm broad. The clock is powered by a modern Swiss quartz movement. I replaced the battery, but could not get it to work. It might be a bad battery. The clock itself (inside) looks to be in good condition. See photo. This authentic Faberge design has been created and produced to the highest standards of the European Applied Arts. The finest craftsmen recreated the splendor of an original Faberge "objet d'art". There is a fine scratch on the main oval silver "frame" - see photo. This clock shows a lot of wear on the silver, with multiple fine pits, scratches and patina. There is a hand carved number on the upper lip, showing # 39 / 62. This is wrong and incorrect. Faberge would never have a hand carved number on its items. After hours of cleaning, I found the original number just under the Faberge hallmark. It reads # 02 / 62. Number 01 / 62 sold for $ 15 000 at auction in Europe
