☕️ SWEATER 🐑 SEASON 🍂

It's that time when we're putting away our Spring & Summer clothes and pulling out our boots & wool sweaters! Earlier this year I saw some great advice from a Spell Sister in our Gypsy Collective. Steaming pieces was a game changer! Now I'm paying it forward with a tip about cleaning up our older sweaters: use a WOOL SHAVER to remove tufts and pilling! ☆Lay garment flat ☆Rub in circular motions for tough pills and back and forth on edges ☆Don't go too fast and use light to medium pressure ☆Empty out the canister frequently when doing a whole garment ☆Don't go over loose threads, the shaver won't cut them, will just snag the blades ☆I use an old Evercare brand shaver but I'm sure there are some nicer units out there It was hard to capture in photos the before and after difference in my sweaters but it's noticeable how much softer they feel! I did get a good angle on a beanie edge, as pictured. If anyone has more experience with this, or dry cleaning at home, please share your tips!
