SWOONING HEART Barn Quilt Painting

Barn quilt paintings originated almost 300 years ago in Germany, Austria and the Netherlands. They began as a way to honor a loved one with a piece of artwork. During the Revolutionary War barn quilt paintings were used to show American forces that an area was safe, secure and supplies were available. I’m not that old but I am a 76 year old woman who’s loved spotting barn quilt paintings on outbuildings while traveling around the country. So I decided to some for others to have and enjoy. Mind you there are some imperfections since I hand draw and paint them. NO paint by numbers for this old gal! Acrylic artwork is painted on a 12” X 12” canvas stretched over a wooden frame. Signed and dated on the back. Also looks great displayed on an easel. INDOOR USE ONLY!
