Vintage Salvador Teran Choker Vintage modernist choker depicting 2 chili peppers Circa mid-century, this is an extremely rare necklace produced by Salvador Teran He was considered by many to be a genius at designing In 1939, he went to work with his cousins at their new workshop, "Los Castillo" He established his own workshop "La India Bonita" in 1952 This piece has a fabulous modernist design, with two repoussé chili peppers with stems which branch off into double tubular sides Closure is a tight and secure tongue in box Opens nice and wide to easily fit over the neck Signed and hallmarked "Salvador Sterling Mexico" Marked with the design #178 Measures 15 3/8" inside circumference Weight is 66 grams. In excellent vintage condition. Collector quality. This piece is in outstanding condition with no damage.
