The Lady I purchased these from told me these were 1907, and handcrafted by Johann Schowanek On April 16, 1896, he rented a mill in neighboring Dessendorf and founded a mechanical turnery there with woodworking machines of his own design. In 1899, after a fire, the company was expanded to produce "textile wood goods and bobbins" for looms with worldwide export orders.
