Sea Bag Maine Octopus Tote-Large

This dramatic tote features an illustration from the official expedition report of the HMS Challenger, the 1872-76 scientific cruise that established the field of oceanography. The octopus is, printed with ink as dark as his own; on sails that have known the sea. The lining is printed with Charles Darwin's handwritten notes from The Origin of Species, for added intrigue. Handcrafted from recycled sail cloth on the working waterfront in Portland, Maine. Any marks on Sea Bags are from the sail’s previous life on the water which makes each bag unique. This bag has a rust color mark on the inside as well as darker spots near the octopus. Please see pictures for details.
