Sears Gallagher (1869-1955) Signed Vintage Etching - Maine Fishing Boat - Print

Believe this wonderful Sears Gallagher etching was made during the period between 1893 & 1930. One in a spectacular collection that portrays - in its early days - fishing village, boats, forest & rocky coast of Monhegan, Maine. Here we * believe * he depicts a fishing boat. Believe we’re correct in our findings w/regards to artist, medium, age, condition, etc. Pls research, as we can’t guarantee. General Condition: Estate find. We’ve owned for 15+ yrs. Mild foxing & discoloration in our opinion; some darkening, but some may be on the glass. Some marks/mild soiling, also found on the mat w/damp staining (on mat), none of which seem to affect etching in viewable area. Has NOT been removed from frame, so we don’t know what’s under the browning paper or backer/verso. Wire hanger. Professionally framed years ago. Shabby/chippy wood frame w/rubs/nicks/scratches; esti 16 3/4 x 14 3/4. Image (NOT incl mat) esti 11 1/2” x 9” (sighted). See note re: shipping frame below. Comes exactly as found.
