Sebastian Miniature #63 - Satchel Eye Dyer (Farmer) In 1946, Bastion designed a pair for his new distributor, Schmid Bros. He took two characters from John Gould's Down-East story "The Farmer Takes a Wife," Satchel-Eye Dyer and his wife. No one knew who Satchel-Eye Dyer was, so Bastion changed the title to "Farmer' two years later. This partular piece was produced in 1976 as indicated by the green label. Measures 3 1/8" tall with a base measuring 3/4". Each piece is hand painted so variances in color are expected. This piece does not have the original box, but a nice gift box will be included.
