Yuki has been my medical alert & response service dog since I rescued him in 2011. Over the years my physical state continues to decline so I medically require a service dog in order to live independently. Sadly, I had to shut down my business, go on disability & move in with family. All proceeds will go to helping me to continue to raise and train Yuki & medical expenses. Yuki is my lifeline, my best friend, my universe. He gives me what others can’t. I can’t live my life without him. Offers ✅

Bless you and I too have a service dog that I rely on daily. As I am sure you know by now NOTHING is more important to us than our service dog!!! I want to know if you have contacted any animal rescues since I live in MI and know of a rescue 'ALL ABOUT ANIMALS" and that is a service that they offer for disabled people like ourselves. Check with the ss website....I believe they even have services available.

God Bless you!!

Welcome! I train SDs. I occasionally have SD related items in my closet here.
If you need anything shoot me a message. (=

How are you doing? Does your sd have a fb page? I have one too. A lab named Molly :)
katsina
I'm a fellow SD owner 💕 He saves my life every single day 🍀🎭
Maybe we can all keep eyes on our closets for items no longer needed. I know I have my pastel pink vest coming up size M 🙃
I'm desperate for a large and XL in preferably purple 💜 Tag me! Oh and umm.... tough toys 😉
I'll have to list current pics. We have a matching set 😋

@sasssboutique Thank you very much. I am definitely considering it, it's a very nice case.

@katsina Hey! Yes, they're true life savers... he makes me feel invincible. Unfortunately M-XL wouldn't fit my babe, he's only 15-17lbs (varies quite a bit). If I see anything in the sizes you need I can tag you though. I love matching gear. We're almost always twinning 👍🏻. Best wishes

@southernvariety Hey. No, he doesn't have his own page. I meant to make one but I wouldn't be able to keep up with it if I made one for him. His name is Yuki.

@simply_saving Thanks. Will do, I appreciate it. That's cool, may I ask where you train? I'm in NY and currently looking for an experienced SD trainer. His behavior seems to be changing as he's growing older and my condition (needs) has changed so I'm in the process of updating his tasks.
kaiphoenix
@sasssboutique Not a surprise :). Will do, thanks again.

@el_ivy 😋I have 2 trainers near me. $$ is no joke! And I need my dog trained past basic public behavior and 1 task. He is almost 6 Months and it's time to progress. I'm saving my pennies! I have RSD in my feet/ lower legs, across my back and both hands/lower arms. Some days, I can't walk. Suki needs to know when I'm having those days and that I need more from him than snuggles and my "LilyBag" every 8hrs. We will get there😘

@katsina I don't have any legit trainers near me. The one I previously used didn't seem to know anything about SD's but she was good at basic behavior and helped me few more comfortable taking him in public.
kaiphoenix
@katsina I've been training Yuki on my own. He's done tasks without training since I got him but he's been task TRAINED for over a year now. He's too small for mobility, balance, momentum which is what I really need now but he does a lot that I couldn't get by without.
kaiphoenix
@katsina Problem is as he's getting older his temperament is changing and that's why I really need a SD trainer / behavioralist that can help manage him better. He's not going as well in public in certain instances that he use to and it's embarrassing and dangerous.
katsina
@el_ivy same issue except mine is 70 lbs already. No way I'm taking him with any chance he'd bark at someone in a store 😳 completely embarrassed & try to remind people they are dogs and that's the only way he knows to say "hi" right now....6 month old puppy stage... I totally get it
kaiphoenix
@katsina he doesn't bark or anything like that he just has issues with keeping focus. He gets highly alert to his surroundings instead of me when in public and although he still manages to alert me and do his other tasks there's always a chance he may miss one and that's not good. Also, I tho he either has selective hearing or he may be losing his hearing because I have to repeat myself or raise my voice a little especially in more clouded settings. He's never had those issues before.
katsina
@el_ivy ahh mine will occasionally bark at crutches. Wheelchairs, canes etc. 😳🎭
kaiphoenix
@katsina well each 6 months, you're bound to have slip ups. It takes a good 1 ½ to 2 years to fully train a service dog. And the training never stops after that as well. The beginning is always the hardest especially with a younger dog. The barking isn't good though. That's grounds to get kicked out and could scare people. A good focus or quiet command would be a high priority when training. I worked on his behavior first then tasks. Although he was a natural alerter before I trained him.
kaiphoenix
@katsina are they a rescue? Perhaps they had a bad experience with them. I'd go to medical supply stores (ask first) to train him around those types of equipment. Or if you know someone who uses anything like that you could ask them to join your training sessions. Your babe would be barking at me then since I use a walker / wheelchair. Too bad we're not close by or I'd train with you. Don't know any other SD teams in my area :/

I have Dysautonomia too as well as a Service Dog. I understand how much SD's can help assist daily activities. I hope all is going well!! 😊💜🐾
kaiphoenix
@toadabella Ugh, it’s terrible isn’t it? Can’t believe how long it took to finally get a diagnosis, too. Thank you, same to you. Yes, they’re a huge help! He’s incredible.
