taminatress I’m interested, but can you unscrew the top and take a picture of the part where the wires are coiled and attach? There should be a number and the sennheiser logo under there. There are so many fakes online right now that I want to make sure that you bought a genuine one. Thanks!

calishamrock @taminatress got it and uploading pics. Out of curiosity, I Googled how to spot a fake one and came across some other points it passes. The sleeve has raised paint and zipper on top front, not edge. The paint is pearlescent and the body is smooth. The screw is flush. Seems legit to me... Lemme know if this is sufficient. 😊

calishamrock @taminatress BTW, I love learning this kind of real/fake stuff. I'm good with purses sneakers, and fragrances, but musical instruments are new to me.

taminatress @calishamrock Thank you, but pic I was hoping for was just to the right of the picture you posted with the top screwed off. I’d like to see where the wires connect and the area below that, to the right of where that white label with numbers and symbols os. That is where there should be a sennheiser logo. Below where the wires connect on a rectangle area of black.

taminatress Sorry to be a pain, but that was the one glaring difference that I could detect in my research. Some of the fakes also had the white sticker with the numbers, etc., some didn’t. Other differences are too hard for me to see. Thanks!

calishamrock @taminatress I'd be happy to snap that but how do I access that area? I'm scared of damaging the mic Do I peel the white paper up? I can't seem to separate the plastic from metal that comprise the head. Is it in there? Or below there between the head and base? Do I need to unscrew that body screw? Let me know and I'll do my best.

taminatress @calishamrock No, you don’t need to peel anything back. Just take the exact same part that you showed with the white sticker, and turn it a little to the right and take another picture. I should be able to see the coil of wires and where they attach. It should be just to the right of where that white sticker is if you just turn it a bit. Does that make sense?

taminatress No need to take anything apart! Just another picture of that same part but turned a bit.
